After-care
Pre-care: How to Prepare for Your Upcoming Appointment

If possible, arrive to your appointment with your eyebrows filled how you normally would fill them day-to-day with makeup so I can understand your preferences and style. Save 2-3 photo examples (from my page or elsewhere) of brow styles you like or want for yourself to help me understand your brows goals.

AVOID the following prior to your appointment:
-
Alcohol, caffeine, and aspirin/ibuprofen and/or any blood thinners 24-48 hours prior to appointment
-
Consumption will greatly affect pain tolerance during procedure and healing post-procedure
-
-
Sun tanning and salon tanning to properly assess natural skin tone for at least 2 weeks prior to appointment
-
Chemical peels and botox/fillers in eye/forehead/temple area at least 2 weeks prior to procedure
-
Brow waxing, threading, tweezing and tinting at least 1 week prior to appointment
-
Un-groomed and grown out brows are ideal to better assess your natural brow shape and use as much natural brow hairs in the brow mapping stage
-

After-care: How to Care for Your Brows Post-Procedure

Wet Healing (if instructed to use this method)
DO the following for the next 7-14 days post-procedure (or until brows completely flake off):
-
Gently pat brows dry with a clean tissue paper within the first 24-48 hours of procedure to blot away any lymph fluid that may surface on the brows
-
You want to avoid a thick scab to ensure better retention
-
-
Very gently cleanse brows once a day with mild cleanser (CeraVe, Cetaphil) using light-handed, tiny circular motions to remove buildup of lymph fluid and ointment
-
Pat dry with a cotton round or clean cloth
-
Apply rice grain-sized amount of ointment (total for both brows) with a clean Q-tip 2-3 times a day
-
Do not overuse ointment as this can suffocate the brows and affect the healing and retention
-
-
Continue these steps every day post procedure until brows scab and completely flake off

Dry Healing (if instructed to use this method)
-
Keep brows as dry and product-free as possible (no water, ointment or other liquids) until brows have completely flaked off

AVOID the following for the next 7-14 days post-procedure (or until brows completely flake off):
-
Picking, touching or scratching the brow area to avoid scarring and removing pigment
-
Hot showers, saunas, jacuzzis and pools
-
Apply a thicker layer of ointment prior to showering to protect pigment from the steam and water
-
-
Increased sweating
-
Sun tanning and salon tanning (UV/UVA rays can cause colour shifting and premature fading)
-
Laser and chemical peels/treatments and skincare containing Retin-A, Glycolic acid, AHA/BHA
-
Applying makeup, skincare and sunscreen to the brow area
-
If brows get dirty, gently dab with a wet cotton round
-
